Hello folks.
I am nearing the end of my novice Fry 117 build. And since the Tokheim short 39 pump was the fisrt pump I got, and it belonged to my grandfather, it is time to start giving some thought to it's rebuild.
The Fry 117 will be placed on the rear deck of the house we are building. The Tok 39 will go on the carport.
While the Fry 117 was a budget rebuild, the Tok being a family piece will get more care and $$ invested in the rebuild.
I have several things in mind to put with this pump under the carport.
I re-did a garbage can in the theme I plan to do the pump in, Magnolia Gas.
In addition to the can, will add a sign or two and rebuild a 1950's air compressor.

As always, advice much appreciated.

The pump only had one door. Found a replacement OEM door soon after I got the pump from a fellow collector here in Miss. Have ordered the replacement parts from Vic's 66 they should be in by Friday. The paint you see is just some test spots. They will be stripped and repainted after primer. Almost every panel has dents, trying to bang them out as best I can. Suggestions welcome on removing the dents. Sides and top will be green, doors to be white.

This so far is the only cancer rust area on the skins. It was just a few pin holes until I put the wire cup brush to it. But still not bad considering the pump was laying on the ground under piles of leaves etc for about 30 years.

Took the Tok to the car wash yesterday. After a good dose of oven cleaner and a couple hits with the pressure wand most of the gunk came off.

My pump was missing only one hinge. Then one that I had broke when I was laying the pump back down somehow. They must be cast alum or something like that.
Yes, another head banging moment for me. Hindsight being 20/20, take these off before you move the stripped pump around.
Now I need two.
