Went to look at a couple old coke machines and came home with this. Hanging in an old barn with a few other bullet ridden signs. Measures 20" X 28". Assuming this is the real deal and not a repop but wanted a consensus from this esteemed group of experts.

Thoughts?

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Thought the scrolling in each of the corners was very unique and helped to set it apart from some repops that I have seen and the size as well.

I'll work on cleaning it up and see what it looks like under all the crude.

Awesome sign!!! Love the font styles and of course the scrolls!! They sure had some style back then!
Do you plan on giving it a cleaning? I would love to see this after a treatment of Bar Keepers. But be careful if you go that rought. I'm not sure how the Bar Keepers will react with the blue. I think I remember hearing on Oldgas that Bar Keepers can sometimes play havoc with blue porcelain. Hopefully some more experienced here will chime in.
Again, great sign!!

Muratic acid wash with a bristle brush and a quick rinse with water will remove a lot of the rust stains. Fine WHITE rubbing compound and a buffer followed by wax and a buff will get it looking real spiffy.

Iron-X is also great for rust streaking.
