I've been to Joliet Illinois. I have a friend that lives there. We once drove past the prison where Elwood picks up Jake Blues in the Blues Brothers. My friend was nervous as he let me out to take pictures. It was a active prison then.
Well tonight I found out it is closed and they have been cashing in on the movie connection.
Take a look at what they did with the gas pump.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Blues Brothers....just have a hard time with the "interpretative" forms of then BB's always just left of center. Maybe only to me...not sure. Besides the figures...I could spend hours looking at your collection Dave!

LOL We just have collected whatever we liked and the Blues Brothers were mounted on the side of the road advertising an antique store and I thought that they went along well with the theme of my hallway...Americana ! STUFF ! lol I've got everything from Fillmore,Dillinger, and movie posters to neon clocks and signs, soda machines and jukeboxes, gas pumps and petro, etc. You never know...Merry holidays everyone...and good hunting.
