I have seen lots of the metal cans but first for me with the glass bottom. Any idea of a year? if you guys have seen one before? Thanks Scott

I have one. I guess it was a World War II item when metal was directed to the war effort. But I have no proof of that.

That is what I was thinking but the cat looks like from the around 1938 or so yours the same?

I checked my Firestone catalogs because they sold Simoniz. The 1942 and 43 still had metal cans. The 1944 had the glass Simoniz. I am missing 1945 and in 46 went back to metal.
