have a old pennzoil cast iron base was wondering how to clean up the threads do they make a tapp that big
collect jenney, independent oil co. , underhay oil co , valora motor oil and other massachusetts brands.

Yes they do,could be 1-1/4 or 1-1/2. Some of the Pennzoil wagon wheel bases were 1". The cast base should be 1-1/4 if I remember correctly

Yes, stop and see a local older plumbing company and if they can't do it ask them who they buy their hard pipe from. My dad ran a plumbing supply company and we had quite a few sets of pipe taps. If you were closer, I'd borrow you one.
