I don't know if this counts since I didn't see it in person. But, could this be the best Shell gas station restroom ever? Take a look.
Here's a link to a video.

What a day can bring. I saw this 66 sign in Pa. today so I stopped to take a picture. When I went to get back on the road I heard a crunch, looked to my right and noticed the sign post I was up against. Backed up and admired the fresh dents in my side doors. Oh well.

Late afternoon I am going down the turnpike, again in Pa., entrenched in a book on cd about John Adams our second president and realized I had over shot my exit when I came up on a few tunnels that I had never been threw before. Well I got off the next exit and followed the gps for 40 miles of back roads to get back on track. Nice drive though the country which I always enjoy. There are always things to be seen. I came upon this car dealer Shell station and a neat old neon sign to share.

It had Beroth Oil on the door. I know there was a tanker truck in Mr. Beroth's museum in Pilot Mountain, NC, but I was thinking it was a 1950's cab truck.

Saw this old car dealer building in Iberia, MO on the way to the It's A Gas swap meet earlier this month. Notice the old Revere island light pole. Makes me think there could have been gas pumps in front of the showroom back in the day.

Three are advantages to going to auctions even if the auction is a waste of time. I drove back from WV. the other day. Went on roads I had not been on before and found a few things to take pictures of.

I would love to be able to buy the Texaco porcelain panels off of the Ernie's market. Nice A100.

We stayed at this circa 1946 motel on Route 66 in Albuquerque on our way to AZ recently.

This 1929(?) Studebaker is along where Route 66 passed through the Petrified Forest National Park. I could swear my wife took a picture of me standing by the Stude, but I'm not sure who the old man is in the picture. wink

We stopped at the Cadillac Ranch near Amarillo on the way home.

I read somewhere that Marsh created a trust before his death to preserve the Cadillac Ranch.

None were mine. Many still had paint in them. I saw someone haul off a bag of partially full cans.
