Is this guy a member here....I have asked him directly why he buys vintage concept signs and other repro signs and beats them with hammers and get no answer. Look at completed items and start adding up how much cash he is sucking out of the hobby. What a dink.

There are so many coming out of the wood work anymore it just hurts your brain trying to keep up with them all. I am a big believer in Karma though "what comes around goes around".
I am always looking for anything Texaco or Oklahoma oil and gas company's, also I am a newbie at seeking globes.

there is a guy in Indiana selling a ton of beatup signs as original... blatantly obvious. I have debated buying one just to get his address, name, information, etc... and then plastering it on the net calling him out.

Also thought about posting a listing for these common repop signs they are beating up and reselling. Honestly don't know if these bidders would even figure it out then?

Here's a completed auction where they actually admit to artificially distressing the signs. SEABOARD AIR LINE RAILROAD 8 7/8" PORCELAIN SIGN. SIGN HAS BEEN DISTRESSED AND GIVEN A GREAT REAL PATINA OVER A TEDIOUS 6 MONTH LONG PROCESS. SIGN IS REAL FIRED ON PORCELAIN OVER THICK STEEL. GET THE SAME LOOK AND FEEL AS A ORIGINAL SIGN WITHOUT SPENDING $1000'S TO OWN ONE!!! Distressed Sign They currently don't have any on ebay, but at the time they were selling this one they had quite a few. If you check their completed auctions they made a pretty good return on their investment of hammering the signs. Completed Auctions
