Recently picked up this 59" sign at a Texas auction and learned about shipping large signs the hard way. Anyway...

What do you think it is worth?

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

Investigate uShip for shipping if that is a problem. Shippers will bid on the job.

actually did use uShip; picked up a broker who ultimately used SAIA. Cost $250 to move from St Louis to Wake Forest, NC.

"upside down" - nice one.

no guesses on value? well then, I'll start.

I am thinking that larger signs, given how hard they are to ship, can't be worth as much as a nice 42" sign - think that this sign if it were 42" would be worth $800-$1200.

I've seen garden variety Texaco star 6" signs is similar shape go for $300-$500 - not counting the retail prices of $1,000-$1500.

For this sign, which is rarer than Texaco, looks awesome with the leaping Lion and given that it "Lion Oil" may be the most perfect palindrome of all time, thinking it should be worth $600-$800; yes?
