I would like some opinions on the fit and finish of reproduction door trim for the Gilbarco 96 pumps. How do they compare to the originals? I know it's hard to beat the fit of a original but I have never used a reproduction before for this model of pump. Thanks for the help.

I bought the reproduction trim from GPH for a G&B 96 and it fit surprisingly well. Looks good and no complaints using the screw on version. I have another I am restoring now but will polish up the originals as they are in better condition than the last one.

The GPH trim is very nice. It is flat and true. If using it on a 900 series, it needs to be bent slightly, to fit. I do this by holding it at both ends and forming it over my leg until I get the correct curve. You will also need to use a fine file to the edge removing the razor sharpness left in manufacture. Paul, thanks for the insight. That was going to be another question that I was going to ask. I recently got some original Gilbarco trim and instead of them being flat, they are slightly curved. They fit fine width wise but they don't lay flat against the door. Would those be for a 900 series instead of a 96? Like you said about putting a slight bend in them to to use on a 900 series. Can I try to bend them a little to try curve out and get them to lay flat or would that kink them by trying that?

In my experience, the 96 doors were flat. The 900 series had a crown. Once the trim is bent to match the door, I wouldn't try to flatten it out again? I experiment with one door at a time until I get the curve that I want, then I mount that trim and move onto the next. Paul www.severngaspumps.com
