I really like this color scheme of Firestone stuff!! Great save!! Is that going in that display pump of yours? If so, post a picture. I never get tired of seeing that pump with all that Firestone stuff in it.
I've often had this thought. Would it not be possible to make some kind of long thin curved anvil that you could mount in a vise, and then fish the can onto it through the top lid hole in order to fix the dents? Just a thought. Maybe one of our members with the time and know how could give it a try.
Steve Coppens Always interested in Sunoco items! Really want a Sunoco National pump ad glass!!

For cans with minor dents I blow air into the top and they pop out.

To clean the can I used 3M rubbing compound and then waxed it with a teflon/carnauba mix wax. I will probably put this can in the Wayne 50 in place of the 2 gal that is in there because I like the graphic of this one better. If I put both of them in there I would have to take a bunch of small stuff out. This is not the latest photo, there has been six items added sense this photo.

So you're the one who got it! I was bidding on it, but didn't want to go too high, given that it appeared rough, and I didn't know how well it would clean up. Congrats!!
Good oil cans don't wait for people, people wait for them.

For cans with minor dents I blow air into the top and they pop out. Wait until you try that on a folded seam can with a tougher dent! I tried it on a cheapo can once to see what might happen, and it looked like you had thrown a big firecracker into the can! LOL

Air still works on some cans.
