Were the "Mobilgas, Ask for Mobiloil" I.R. 1941 keyhole signs used as a pump plate or to showcase something else?

Would like to see one that says IR 41. They say AM 11-41 and they are painted tin. All Ingram Richardson sign I have seen have been porcelain which these keyholes are not. There are a ton of fake mobilgas keyholes that are dated like original. Buyer beware without having it in hand or knowing what to look for.
Pic of it on a pump. Not mine.

You are right. I guess that I misread the markings when I saw the sign. I get the 11-41 part, but what does AM stand for.
