The curb sign has a gargoyle base which I doubt is right, now on the plus side it's double sided porcelain.. Pump signs say licensend by Mobil oil on them that's my concern on them, any help would be great thanks!

...look at past auctions on eBay for past sales...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

That is an incorrect base for the keyhole sign. It originally had a larger diameter base. The one pictured is a base from the earlier ,round Gargoyle curb sign.

Oilcanman87, thanks for that simple lesson. As a beginner, I'm afraid of buying something that isn't original, but I don't know much about how to tell the difference. That is a simple rule to follow. Thank you Ken

Earlier base being used on the keyhole lollipop, which is incorrect but sign is legit. Reproduction oil cabinet sign with "licensed by" is fake.

They probably updated signs but saw no need to change the base. Just an idea, because I've noticed in pictures there was a lot of repurposing and reusing items back then.

Just an idea, because I've noticed in pictures there was a lot of repurposing and reusing items back then. That is absolutely wrong. The larger base was utilized because the later signs were larger and due to the added wind load they needed a larger & heavier base to prevent them from blowing over. Corporate companies weren't the ones repurposing.

Should be a larger Pegasus base as stated by Dave. Sign too large for this base. IMO the Pegasus base is way harder to find.
