Why not learn to use the "Oldgas Search powered by Google" at the bottom of every page?
I would expect a Newbie of a couple months to ask such a question; Not someone who has been on Oldgas for over 5 years....

Thanks Randy Bob the reason I posted it again is because if you take the time and go read them there is no strait answer from what I read it depends on the can and what is says. Thanks for replying Bob

It is up to the individual Hobbyist; Whether to drain or not, just as Randy and hundreds more on Oldgas have answered past threads on the Subject...
Those sentiments have been the same answer;for over 60 years, now...
Drop a full can and see what happens!
Personally, I prefer a can that will bounce with little to no damage... Instead of picking up a full can that not only has reduced majorly in value, but that also doesn't display worth a damn after hitting a much harder object...

That is why I ask again the question. I sure wish they would of put twist on lids on them all. lol Also I must ask one more do I drain from the bottom or the top with a small hole? I only ask that question for later resale.

Probably the most asked question on Old Gas. Answers can be found on the Home Page under Frequently Asked Questions link on the right. Frequently Asked Questions Best Answer... don't ask us, ask your insurance company. Is it worth losing coverage.

Probably the most asked question on Old Gas.
Closely, followed by whether to gut or not gut gas pumps.

I only collect full cans, don't know why, guess I like the feel of a full can and don't want to have holes in something I pay money before. In 25 years of collecting quarts I've never dropped one but I'm sure I will. It seems that when ever a full quart comes up for sale it goes for more than an empty one. The biggest difference to me is the fact that there are others that prefer collecting full cans and if I empty mine I reduce the size of my resale market.
On the other hand it's your can do with it what you want.

...I wouldn't keep a full anti-freeze can...that stuff (and brake fluid) is much worse than motor oil, when it comes to ruining cans...
Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

I love full cans too. I consider them NOS, and drained ones as used. That said I do drain antifreeze, or other cans like premix gas that are corrosive or a little more dangerous to leave full. Never thought about what my insurance company would say about 20 qts of oil in my living room......

I like to collect real oil cans, not air cans and say leave em full. Once you drain em out,you can't put the genie back in.
