Stomp on it before you remove the label.

Gently cut the label on two corners then only remove one end to see what is there.

I think it's a product made by another company, and CS relabeled it. I suspect you'll be very disappointed if you remove the label.

Leave it on. It's only original once. It will either go from rare to still rare, or it will go from rare to some common can (IMO not worth a 50/50 chance, when you already have a rare can).

Let the next guy do it in 75 more years when the paper is almost dust due to father time.

If label seems loose ,make on razor cut on the seam ,if not I would leave it as is, (curiosity killed the cat) though.

I like SINCLAIR and old American made stuff ... No china items.

My guess is it's a rebranded auto glaze product.
If you collect Cities Service , leave it as is.

Is it glue all under the label? A can i took the label off of was just were the glue where the label overlapped at the seam. Came off super easy. I could have placed it back on if i wanted to but after finding what was under it i couldn't bring myself to cover it up.
Good luck either way.

maybe some of you remember it.
Dan

i'm still undecided... there is no hope of removing the label cleanly, i can tell that for sure. but other than that I havent looked at it real close.

I've left it the way it is for around 2 years now, so I'll probably eventually forget about it and it will sit like it is
