Well, I don't know anything about these, but I'd like to learn.
I see the sloppiness in the word "OILS", and the mounting holes look like they were created as an after thought? What else is wrong? Can anyone put the picture of this sign up next to a known original?
I've always liked those signs, but would be scared to buy one without some help and research!

Thanks Butch! Its pretty easy to see all of the differences when you see both of them. All of the lettering is off and even the sunburst isn't correct.
Pretty easy to tell when you know what you're looking for, but I bet there are a lot of people out there just like me that have never seen a real one. Glad this came up, it sure helps the old education process!

Same here Kevin - would certainly like to buy one but have always been leery about pulling the trigger due to uncertainty of items' originality.

Put a picture of Butch's sign on my phone and now have something to compare it to in the future.

Thanks Kevin, thanks Butch.
