As many of you know, Rebel Oil is the main company of the Alabama independents that I collect. I have also been trying to document the company's history from interviews with one of the company's founders, former employees, articles, and pictures. One of the things I've aquired is the two original pump colors they used. I've restored this pump with those matching colors and thought y'all might also enjoy seeing it!

Excellent job! Although it looks out of place there, Maybe move it a little farther north and you can see it any time your up this way.

Thanks. The colors are finally starting to grow on me. So far the wife hasn't given me the evil eye about it being in the house yet so hopefully it will stay put. It's a little "plain Jane" but Rebel was cheap when it came to that. They believed cheaper gas brought more folks in than fancy imagery.

Looks like a great restoration. Without knowing the typical color combo for Rebel I'd have guessed something else relating to the bold primary colors of the logo. Good to know.

I do admire your ability to get a pump in the house...I have yet to reach that level.

And their station color was a greenish turquoise. What were they thinking! My Rebel pole (that's still waiting for a 6') is going to be hedious.

Like you said, "the colors are ....growing on me". When you first showed me the colors I didn't think they would show as well as they do. I think I'm going to do the Wayne 605 I've got and it has a little more stainless bling on it than the 39 and should look pretty good. I'm saving a corner in my new room for it smile. Wish we would discover some ad glass now...... GB.
