Hi guys,

Thought I'd post a few pics of my first pump now that it's done, sans a hose and nozzle. Did this the hard way as I found the globe first, then the doors, then the pump. Found a rustoration difficult as I'm used to restoring things to make them look perfect, less is definetly more! My twist on this though is that the inside of the pump is fully restored and painted, it's just he skins that are rustored on this.... Pump is in my living room and everyone who has seen it so far loves it! Special thanks to a few guys on here, my uncle (Muntz man) for getting me into this, Jerry (42 Packard) for selling me the pump, Dave gill (Daves garage) for help with some 575 knowledge, Matt alveriz for all the insperiring photos on here of his rustorations, and Kevin frith and Tom buckles for hooking me up with a nice orig computer. Already have another pump, not sure what I'll do with that one.........

Looks real good!!!
Is that rust along the bottom, original or faked rusto rust? Cuz it sure looks real.

Steve,

The doors are as found. I just gently cleaned them and put some Satin clear on them. The red side panels are off the pink pump and where painted then distressed.

Looks great. It would also look nice restored but much better this way and the original decals were saved because it was not restored.

Thanks for all the feedback guys! Was always gonna save the decals, originally thought I could sand around them, then carefully mask and paint around and clear over them. Glad I went this way instead though smile
