Just bought this excellent air meter,,, I don't know if it's rare or not,, I've owned 23 different air meters in as many years but have never seen or owned this one.. It is Model AM2E , 1936, Made in USA.. It is all complete, older restoration, can deliver to John Mancino's show or Columbus show in June for free or I can ship for extra $$.. asking $2200.

Wayne,

If your ECO 98 has that small brass plate on the scuff plate, it means it was not put on there originally. The brass plate was used on Islanders and the Model 93 ECO. The brass plate indicated that it was necessary to lift the flip switch (there was no hook on the Islanders or the 93) to release the air to the chuck.

I am only bringing this up to explain that if the meter is set up for the flip switch, it might be of more interest to anyone who is looking for a head for their Islander or for the 93. It would be easy to sell the pedestal if you didn't need it.

Your price for that 98 is very reasonable considering the condition.
