http://www.ebay.com/itm/heavy-porcelain-...-/381237099513?

I have contacted this guy and asked him why they are not marked . He doesn't like me asking him that . This is a bad one, size is wrong and so much more . There is only 2 known originals of this sign .I Can identify both of them if anyone needs a hand doing that . These guys doing this are all about making money , they could care less about real or the history of petrolina . Just my humble opinion .

by his description he doesn't appear too be trying too deceive anyone (heavy-porcelain-RED-INDIAN-lubester-sign-5-motor-oil-fantasy-advertising) but down the line there could be problems not being marked ... cool

Randy, since he is having them made; it wouldn't take much for him to date them.

His description leaves at least the possibility that the piece "may" be original. He knows that is not, so it sure is outright dishonest. Deception by skirting around the truth.

I agree! On eBay I dealt with a seller Tucson623 (also uses many other seller names) specializes in fakes and deception! Beware!

Brett, was that guy's name Mark? I believe this is the same guy that used to pull his cr@p on the Phoenix Craigslist. He started getting called out by way of new posts(using his title and saying FAKE), and he moved onto eBay under several aliases as you mentioned. I think another member on the forum also confronted him on it as well! Here are two other names he goes by: 2xlz623 and possibly 5107allen.

If someone buys his Fry May West...might be an interesting conversation to have with him on his pump plates that "has some damage where she was mounted to the pump".

Nice to see him get what a fake should get . The real 2 of this sign that do exist are worth a lot of money . I know that the lesser condition of the 2 sold for 5 large around 10 years ago . Funny story , they were both found in a small Ontario garage. It was full of Model A parts . The fella bought all the model A parts and the 2 lubester signs for 50 dollars LOL . True story .
