Beer holder!!, real hard to pump gas(without both hands)on those country back roads, when you only get a couple cars an hour !! I am sure that what it is for...dodogas

THE BOX IS A LITTLE ROUGH, BUT NOT HOMEMADE. WHEN OPENED IT HAS A DIVIDER IN THE MIDDLE, MABEY IT WAS AN ASH TRAY FOR THE STATION ATTENDENT WHILE HE WAS PUMPING HIGH OCTANE?? FRANK..

If you boys down south come to Canada to visit, you may wonderwhy all cars and trucks have 6 in long pieces of tubing vertically fastened to the front bumper, it is for cooling beers , EH !! Only in the 9 cold months or the year, and Dwaine note the proper spelling for eh, eh... dodo eh

It's the first self-serve gas pump. the can on the side is for the money, using the honor system. didn't last long though.

Frank, The little tray was used to hold rags for checking oil. Some gas station atendents were not allowed to put the rags in their pockets because it looked unprofessional. I worked at a Union station and was not allowed to put the rag in my back pocket. Gas Pump Rob
