Let the fun begin. Just restored American Gas pump with clock face. Our restorer had fun and chose the color yellow. Original picture of unrestored pump included in listing.

We will send members pictures of the disassembled pump on request.

I don't know that restored is the proper term for that one. But I'd still gladly accept it smile

We only have the parts shown in the pictures. Our restorer only took apart the pump to paint it...so everything that the pump was originally purchased with should be there.

We are not knowledgeable ourselves about the pump, as the owner Bob Gerrity (past member of oldgas) recently passed away, so we can only keep directing you to the pictures & try to answer to your questions...after first researching it on Google for an image then madly search in the garage to see if we can find the part. ;-) If there are other parts, we have not found them.

We keep trying to add more pictures on eBay as people email us with questions.

Additional info:
The bottom of the pump has castors. The pump can be moved around with very little effort.
We did find another nozzle. We do not know if it will fit this pump, but we are sure it will find a good home with the buyer of this cash recorder.

Missing pricer wheels from the looks of it. Still a cool pump.

Update: Three parts to the pump have been found.
1. a visiguage was found but the glass is cracked. It was taped before the housing was sandblasted so you can use the glass to get the measurements for a new glass piece. The bolts that connect the plates were sheared so new ones will be required.
2. the interior piece to light up the gauges from the top down. will probably need rewiring.
3. a metal box with three plumbing pipes coming from it: Two one side, one on the other.

Can you send me a pic of the pricer wheels? we may just have them. IT could be in a box but since we do not have an accurate picture of a completed pump we are uncertain of what is missing.

On a side note..the highest price you could pay for gas on this pump was $3.90. What I wouldn't give for those gas prices today.

...what I wouldn't give to be able to buy that pump for what it sold for, when new...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
