Hello all, I just finished my first Rustoration of a pump. This pump was pretty straight when I got it and I wasn't ready to spend the money for a full restoration on it yet. I talked to Matt Alvarez a few times with questions and as usual he was very helpful. Thank you Matt. I kept it pretty basic for my first one. There are a few things that I try on the nest one to try and inprove on the look. In person I thought I got the doors to dark but in the pictures they don't look dark enough. Still not bad for the first one. I alway love to see everyone's rustoration projects on here so keep them coming for more ideas and inspiration.
Mike

looks great to me.
I would be interested to hear the different methods everyone is using, maybe you can start posting what you tried. (ex. furniture stain, mixing kerosene in the paint, etc)

Came out great. Nice job on the decals, they look old and weathered.

I think you did a great job! I like restored pumps; but I'm really starting to like these rustorations. I've seen some great ones that Sean down in Humble did and I think I might have to try it myself!
