Craig,
Jack Sim said that you can use 3/4" steel shaft, have the ends turned down to 1/2" and then get it chromed. Jack can probably give you better information if you need it. Another fellow told me to get 3/4" stainless rod and have the ends turned down to 1/2" by machine shop.

my original rollers measure.612. 3/4 would look odd, it would not match the top and bottom. But I guess better than not having any. Someone has them. Check with gaspumpfrank

The long rollers are easy to make but because I am involved with making parts that are needed to make the ECOs work I am not willing to make the rollers. Actually more important is having someone make the parts that hold the rollers. I get more requests for them than I do for the rollers.

The problem is there are probably 100 regular ECOs being restored for every Islander being restored.

Yes, can get the stainless rods. Just cost me $125.00 to have the ends turned down and then I have to get it polished.
Looks like that is what I will have to do. Plating is even more expensive.
Thank you for trying.
