Hey Guys,

I bought a sign today thinking it was a Quaker State underneath everything. Found a Shell x-100 motor oil sign. I'm still working on taking off the old vinyl letters.

Im not a shell collector and have searched ebay, worthpoint, and internet and cant find info on this sign.

One person I spoke to hasn't seen this one in awhile. Any info will help. Thanks

I've seen one before, I think it may advertise a different Shell product on the other side(?)

Ads from the 50's show the X100 as the Premium oil offered by Shell at that time. The ad oil can has the same logo as shown on your tombstone.

Value in cleaned condition(assuming double sided).... I would think $400 if no further serious defects than seen and if you could impart some shine to it. Maybe a bit more at auction. If a stand for an Quakerstate is the same you can bump the price up higher of course.

Both responces are correct. It has two different sides. I sold mine last year for $400 with the sign holder. Make sure to post a picture after you have clean up the other side. Anthony
