Hello. I was recently in a barn and came across an original Mobil special script top, original everything signs, glass, and letter insert. Upon further looking I noticed a chip on the top and the entire pump was porcelain. Is this super rare? What's it worth in really nice shape? Thanks for the help

I have never seen one in porcelain.

I am always looking for anything Texaco or Oklahoma oil and gas company's, also I am a newbie at seeking globes.

...I've seen a porcelain top before...pretty sure there was one pictured on Oldgas a while ago...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

I have seen them in porcelain. i would imagine a porcelain one being worth a bit more, if it had no chips and if you had a porcelain pump (with the same amount of fade/weathering)

otherwise, it is difficult to match the 'patina' of a porcelain top to a pump and to someone wanting to restore the pump, porcelain just makes it more difficult.

if you add pictures, I will give my opinion on value
