What time frame were the ECO Islanders with light poles made and used in the service stations? 50's 60's or ??
Thanks,
Ted

Post the complete Serial Number here and I will tell you the month and year it was made.

Just one of the few good things I do.

Thanks for the help guys. I'm trying to help a friend find a good restorable Islander, but the one's I've found are pricey.

In my Air ID book I mention to "Never buy an incomplete air meter."

The reasons are mainly the parts that are missing are not being reproduced because the cost of mfg. exceeds the return. Also, if you think you can find the parts used you are going to be disappointed. There are too many people sitting on incomplete meters waiting for someone else to part their meter out.

The best way to get around this is to purchase two identical meters, make one out of the two and sell the remaining parts. I have parted out five ECO Islanders and I don't have one part left.

My Air Meter Identification book is available at: www.petrocollect.com

Ted,

Cindy has been handling everything because I am trying to finish the gas book, but I believe it went out today. She had me autograph a book a couple of days ago.

Thanks from both of us,

Jack,
What is a fair price to pay for a complete unrestored Islander with light pole and fixture, all in good condition?
Thanks,
Ted
