I JUST WANTED THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR SUGGESTIONS CONCERNING THE REMOVE OF AN ETCHED GLASS CYLINDER. ALL THE SUGGESTIONS WERE GREAT, THE ONE THAT WORKED WAS TIME, I PUT EVERY RELEASE AGENT KNOWN MAN KIND IN THAT CASTING. IT JUST TOOK TIME FOR IT TO WORK. THE REASON i DID NOT WANT TO LOOSE THAT CYLINDER WAS BECAUSE I HAVE A ROYER PUMP THTA IS EXTREMELY RARE. MY GRANDFATHER WORKED FOR THEM IN THE 1920'S, AND ONE OF HIS JOBS WAS TO ETCH THE CYLINDER. I WILL TRY TO POST A PICTURE WHEN IT IS FINISHED.

Ken, I'm looking forward to seeing a picture of the Royer Pump. I know you have been looking for it for years. What company did you restore it to ?
Thanks also for the tips for removing the glass. It is a heart breaker when you lose one ! Hope all is well. CRA .....
