Ok I'll start.... I am from Michigan and found all these service stations in my travels within the state.

The first picture is a service station that is now someone's residence. It's neat that he decorated it as a Sinclair station with the old car. This was somewhere in 'The Thumb' of Michigan.

The second picture is another old station, also in 'The Thumb.' Looks like this one is someone's home as well.

The third picture is a Pure repair shop about 7 or 8 miles from my house. Very cool looking place. Every time I go to that side of town, my truck goes down that street for some reason (can't imagine why). Love that sign. "Be Sure With Pure."

The fourth picture is an old station (turned ice cream shop)I found while driving through a Detroit neighborhood (not a good area.... at all). I'm sure the filling station was in business a lot longer than the ice cream shop. Ice Cream may contain Lead (Tetraethyl).

Hope you all enjoy.

Do you think that last one was a Hi-Speed station?

Nice pics Steve. That pure station is only about 2 miles from me.

That's the only picture I took (while I was driving). I thought the same thing when I got home, but I was following someone (who has no interest in gas stations or stopping in this neighborhood). If I get back down there, I will take more.

Ellen, and those who wanted to see the front of the ice cream gas station... I retraced my steps on google maps and found the street view (easier than driving down there). Here is the link:

An old Powerine station in Colorado. It's a speed shop so at least it is still associated with petro and not ice cream or coffee !!
