I'm new to this site, I'm wondering how to tell if a gas globe is real or fake. I see some on Ebay but are looking for some tips what to look for. Thanks Randy

A suggestion is to pick up a copy of the CD: "Guide to Gas Pump Globes 2012" by Oldgas Members Wayne Henderson and Scott Benjamin... (you can order it from "Books" in the Header)...

a large majority of globes are marked repro or with a limited edition, etc.

for the ones that are not, i would suggest seeing & feeling the back of a known original and then doing the same for a known repro. You'll be able to tell after that. Originals have that 'chalkiness' to them.
