I usually use Fed-Ex, as they seem to be the cheapest and they seem to take better care. Tom is right on cost, if the final box is a 24 by 24.

Shipping cost will vary a lot depending on weight, size and distance. It won't cost anywhere as much to ship a plastic body globe as it will to ship a wide glass body globe.
USPS is my shipper of choice but they're not the cheapest.
I recently shipped five 15" lenses (which weigh about what a metal body globe would weigh), double boxed for $83.

Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros.

Fed-Ex is cheaper, and sign up for an account that will save you more. And I'd have to agree they tend to be better handlers of what you ship.

Around $85.00, Michigan to California. Done right double boxed at 24" X 24"... I use FedEx as mention they seem to handle items better, and it's usually the cheapest. Get an account as mentioned and I think that saves 10%.
Always double box it !!!
