hey guys
I posted this in the values section, but didn't really have any success.
hope you don't mind me asking here, but a friend of mine is looking at this and asked me about it. I have not seen one of these before.
any idea what it is? farm pump? it is an erie .it has me curious. it may look kinda cool painted the right colors but it's not what Isee as very collectable but what do i know

I have bought these before when buying a load of pumps, so I have seen several. My opinion was that they are made up for use on farms. The top is the most valuable part on the pump. I take the tops off and scrap the rest.

This is a commercial pump, meaning it was used any place where there was no need to compute the price of the gas being pumped. Places like farms, truck terminals, construction company sites.

Looks a roof rotating cap. They would have vents that catch the wind and spin.

well I apologize if I did something wrong. I guess I worded my sentence wrong.
I don't necessarily need to know exactly what its worth ,as I don't own this pump. I have no monetary gain from this. I just didn't want to see him scrap it if the top could be used . because once it is scrapped as we all know, that's another one gone that someone could've used
