Turret Cigarettes, was a Canadian Brand. So, I would also hazard a guess as to it being a Canadian Station.

That's not a station, that is a convenience store, just a small version of what we have today.

Like Randy said, Mom and Pop station. The wife sells "goods" from a refreshment stand, which at most is a 1/4 of the building. While hubby sells gas and oil, and services cars, as there is probably a one bay garage out back or on the side. The photo likely originated from the Henry Ford Museum page. No info is given for location. http://collections.thehenryford.org/Collection.aspx?objectKey=45252
