If I remember correctly, the VR sets up above the mounting plate in a Bennett 76. The height is adjusted by the mounting screws with lock nuts.

My question, does anyone have the measurement of how high above the mount plate the bottom edge of the VR normally is?

On mine the VR simply sits on top of the mounting plate and is screwed down. No adjustments are needed as long as the plate is at the right hieght on the frame rails.

Thanks bowserman. That's the key piece, if that mounting plate is correctly place. I guess once I put the sheet metal on and the bezel, I'll find out if any adjustment is needed.

thanks.
