I picked up a enamel street sign with Cameo 1948 on the back of it. Maybe this helps with the company's history a little.

You do realize that this thread is over 3 years old; correct?

Yes I did. I searched the forum and found a related topic and added to it in a positive way. I made sure my images were the right size and format and that I contributed to the most current post that was related to the topic. I checked my spelling and brushed my teeth before posting. Is that OK with you?

Thanks for your explanation... So many, who respond to older threads do not notice that the thread they are posting on is years old...

Very well said Rust Bucket, your post did seem a little snarky Bob.

LOL... I didn't mean it to be "snarky"...

I have noticed that a few Members had posted on older threads and afterwards they stated that they had not noticed that those threads were years old... I wondered if that was the case on this thread?

I learned the Cameo sign company started in 1911 according to bottom left corner of your sign. I read somewhere else in this forum it started in 1904, but since it's right there on your sign I now know different. Thanks Neil!
