As I was posting a picture of this truck in the Great Old Pics thread, I noticed this sign on the side of the trucks' trailer. About a year or so ago I saw this sign (pic 2) sell on ebay. I posted it here but no one really knew what it was.
So now we know the rest of the story!!

Steve

Good to see some one studying photos out there, this is how you learn the history and date pieces.

Thanks Doug,
I've always wondered what/where that sign was from. It was exciting to learn it.

Hope all is well!!!

Kevin,
If you look at the last posting in this original thread on the sign, it says a guy name Ron Betten bought the one I saw. Who knows, maybe he's ready to sell if you know him.

Can't be to many of these around.

If Ron Bettin bought it, It's selling for more now!! Ron is a good guy and a big collector that I always see at Iowa Gas and he always seems to buy more than he sells and his purchases are really nice stuff.

He's always selling on e-bay also under bettin

No problem Dan. That's what this site should be largely about. Learning and sharing of information.
Now good luck to us all in finding one. I mean, how many of these can there really be out there. Not many I would presume.

I ran across another picture of this sign. Just wanted to add it to this thread for the history of it.
Anyone know what ever became of it? Anyone know Ron Betten? Does he actually have it/had it?

I remember seeing a picture of Ron with the sign in his hands. He has a LOT of signs for sale on his web site.
