Interesting how they seem "to spring out of the woodwork"...

Here is one from a different Seller that did not meet reserve:

# 321841698701

He relisted it for $1600 or Offer # 321848307291

I don't have the technical eye, so many of you do... Where I can look at a font and determine if it is Computer generated or not? But, to my eyes these 2 signs look similar but not the same... And neither one strikes my memory as looking like the vintage photos I've seen... So, there is a very good possibility, that it is me and my memory, that is "off"! grin wink

Also, the "Story" about finding it in an old closed Gas Station; is much too similar to the Story of finding something in "Grandpa's Barn"... For me to be comfortable....

The Flying A Service "Brand"; was dropped around 1956, along with the naming of the "New" Tidewater Oil Corporation....

im willing to bet that the first one posted is a fake, just merely based on the computerized fonts used

I noticed that the Seller of the one Randy posted (281786413456). Has changed their Auction... Instead of a Starting bid (that had one bidder) of $500. The Auction now has a starting bid of $500 with a reserve; and a BIN price of $1700... I also, notice that in auction description it now says "No Returns" (did I miss that the first time around?)....

That is ALWAYS a Red Flag to me....

I bought one of these in one of Dan's auction, I feel it not
real because there are no mounting holes, but couldn't prove it
to send back
