Has anyone ever looked to make the pump dials spin when the gas nozzle is depressed? I'm thinking it would be fairly easy to fabricate a mount for a small motor under the dial gears. Then hide a switch incorporated into the pump nozzle, running the wiring inside the hose. Anyone ever seen this done?

Thank you for the pics. I was hoping to make the motor activate by pressing the nozzle handle. Is that part of what you supply or how is the motor activated. I was also thinking to run lights, motor, etc. on low voltage.

Motor activation is completely at the discretion of the pump owner. There are so many ways to do it that I don't get into that aspect of it. I have a couple of my own wired to come on when you lift the nozzle rest. I simply use the pump linkage to activate a switch placed in the pump body. Others have done what you mentioned and placed a switch in the nozzle handle and since a couple members had gotten shocked by accident, there was a thread describing use of a 12 volt relay to activate the setup. That information is available in these Old Gas pages somewhere.
