Purchased this heavy duty quart a while back here on old gas. It was in dire straights. Sent it to TeeTee. Kevin did an outstanding job of relidding and tweaking this can. Very happy and deserves a shout out for a job well done. Very reasonable to have this done. Kevin said, "It's not really a money maker...just enjoy bringing cans back to life." Stand up guy and outstanding work

Kevin does a great job for sure!!!

Bryce,
What do you mean by the wheel marks?
The roller shouldn't even touch the can. At least i have my machine set up not to touch. It comes very close though.

wheel, roller, crimper... im not familiar with the entire process... but I was just referring to the tiny teeth marks you see on nearly all relidded cans

ahhh makes sense... so its from the removal of the old lid before relidding.

so is there a way to remove old lids without marking up the can?

Some cans that were in my collection had those small marks, so I guess I bought some that were re lidded.

It looks like Keving did a fine job bringing back some history at a decent price. Hats off to him.

Great job! Kevin is a great guy. If you have a can with no lid, or dented up can, send it to him!

If you remember Dick Bennett always said not to take off the bad lids with a can opener before they were sent to him, so I'm guessing he used this kind of can opener:
http://oldgasoline.proboards.com/thread/142/dented-cans?page=2
I never knew they made this kind until I read the above thread, so I got one myself and they do work very nicely.
