Mobil never make a gas pump, they made petroleum products. It is the same as seeing a truck go by with Coca-Cola on it, some will say there goes a Coke truck. Just like Mobil, Coke never made a truck they were make by Ford, GMC etc.

So now lets look at what you are looking for. Assuming you are looking for a pump from the 70s, these were mostly stainless steel pumps, but if you get past 1975 your are looking for a pump that was digital. Pump companies sold pumps to anyone, it was generally up to the purchaser to put the signs, etc. of the brand of gasoline that was to be pumped.

My next Gas Pump ID book has been expanded from 1965 to 1975 and it will show many pumps from that time, but you might have to wait until Christmas to see them. Email me if you want to be on the list of persons who want to purchase a copy of the book. jhsim@petrocollect.com

Jack007, Most all of us here understand what your looking for, a simple pump to restore in Mobil colors. Anything will work and hopefully someone will set you up with one. Good luck

Thanks guys and want a pump from the 40's, 50's or maybe earlier. I have the Mobil theme going in the garage. I was at the Iola Old Car Show Sap meet this summer and saw about 6 pumps all around $800 each and they all sold right away.
