This might just be a record setter. Now the double version next at Morphy's auction. Should be interesting

I could be wrong, but I disagree. The double is restored, if it was all original like the single appeared to be, then absolutely..

FREEDOM oil items wanted.

There has not been a double one of those in an auction in recent memory. Yes you are right about a original, but imagine all the big dollar guys there who have to have it.
Forgot to mention, was told that the total tax on that with everything else was 24.2%, add that to the total and see what you get. I do not know how they do business in that area with all the tax.

The double will bring huge money. As far as I know, only 2 are in existence. Kyle's restored one being one of them and the other is unrestored!

Yes

We love are tax here in Ontario. cry We live 5 min to the Ontario/Michigan border, which only have 6 % tax. Of course the Canadian dollar is down. frown

Not sure where the buyer was from, he may have had some type of shipping $$$ as well.

When that double sells to one of those big dollar guys. It will be like the Barrett Jackson Auction (circus).

Evening, I restored that pump for a friend of mine in the early 80's, he owned Antique jukebox in Hamilton. He went through a lot of nice stuff. He had a couple of Champlain signs that are in Kyle Moore's collection. Anyways, I did that pump for 250 and it did sell for 3000, that was big money in the day. Oh there's quite a few of those double ecometers around. Ted
