What size is it?... Tin sign correct, single sided?... Please show image of the back and close ups of any damage.... Also it looks as if some of the holes have grommets where others, do not... Please show a close up of these areas...

It is a sign, I don't remember seeing before. So I can't hazard an opinion without more and closer images... Others, that are familiar with the sign; can hopefully give a more knowledgeable answer than I...

It measures just under 15.5 inches by 7.25 inches. No grommets. Just holes for mounting.

I thought it was weird that it's an "oil" advertisement but the can being poured has a Supream Gasoline label

Looking for any Alabama based globes and advertising such as Coastal, Rebel, Interstate Oil, Foster Oil (supertane), Mutual, Oil Well, etc...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

I hear you!! I go to a show and see something I like, but I don't buy cuz I don't trust it/myself. I save a lot of money that way I guess.

My two cents is if your gut feeling is giving you questions take time to contact another member for 2nd opinions. I have contacted both Bryce and Mark for opinions in the past and they like others used have been very helpful.
And if you still have questions...walk away.

Thanks
Mike

I don't recall seeing grommets on many original tin signs either? Definitely see them on porcelain signs. Anyone have original tin signs with grommets? Maybe I just haven't run across them?

I've owned a couple signs in the past... But, as has been noted, most of my tin signs have had no grommets...

looks like a pattern... the tin painted signs that hang from brackets and/or frames, usually have grommets.

I actually bought that sign at Iowa then went outside and a few friends looked at it and said it wasn't right so I took it back in and the seller refunded me my money. I really like the sign but for what I paid I wanted it to be original.
