I think there are more dominoes to fall in '16 and yes with morphy's 4 more installments of the Moore collection, Kokles and maybe 1 or two more.........it is too much.

I've read thought's and comments like this before and here they are again...they make no sense to me ! What does "it's to much" mean ? does anyone honestly think even one small item from anyone of these upcoming auctions won't be sold ? of course not...everything will be sold and at high prices, and if there were more auctions those items would sell to ! only thing that possibly MIGHT happen would be the prices go down a small fraction but I highly doubt even that will occur, although I wish they would some of us small fish would like to get in the game a little more LOL.

Between Kyle's, Kim & Mary's, Mecum Road Art events, Barret Jackson and possibly 1-2 more substantial collections the hobby will see 20-25m of collectibles put on the open market in a 15 month period.

This is unprecedented, only time will tell how these series of events affect supply and demand for a disposable income hobby.

I sat at Kyles first auction hoping to buy 10 different things , I never got my hand up on most lol . Got 2 things . The one sign I was bidding on I was told , the guy I was bidding against had sold his company for 650 mill. So if 20 - 25 mil in collections come up , I am thinking we are still not going to see any "give aways " . Although a lot of rougher quality items are changing hands these days , the quality pieces seem to be crazier than ever in price .

After a while, this just seems to be in another world. Not your collectors like we have on here that can buy most of the high end stuff. Just kind of fun watching.

With all the stuff coming out, there has to be items that slip through the cracks. You just have to be ready.

Looks like a nice collection. I will definitely be heading over to Orlando for this one. Have had mixed results with Mecum in the past but at least they're displaying the items in this collection as no reserve.

My brother sold a Texaco sign like that at the Lake of the Ozarks show this year. Single sided tin with a wood frame.

Over approx. 50 years of collecting I had to pass on a lot of expensive items, however buying and collecting was really the reason I got into it, so it was the less expensive things I went after, and there are a lot of things out there. I think a lot of collectors are reaching an age where it is becoming a chore to maintain a collection. Like Dan says items slip thru the cracks and I hope they all fall into the hands of collectors like yourselves. Personally, I also think you will see a lot of sales in the next couple of years. Love them or hate them, the pickers have exposed a lot of collections in private hands that have to go sometime. My two cents, Norm
