Just got this from a friend, but I won't have it in my hands until this weekend. I tried to find out some info on it but so far can't find a thing. It's NOS porcelain, with one tiny chip on one corner. Did they actually make these? This came out of a bulk oiler facility and that's all I know about it. Any input would be much appreciated, thanks. Les

Scary thing is a few years ago I was at a auction where they listed a NOS Pepsi one and it had identical bends and it looked awesome but we found out it was painted decaled and heavy clearcoated The bends look to crisp for what I remember that era door pushes but I hope I'm wrong
Thanks Mike

He is a friend that we have traded and bought from one another for years, so he would know I hope. I did get some info that these are common in Canada, which is good because I'm not that deep into it. Can't wait to hold it in my hands then we'll know who owns it him or me. Ha!
Thanks for the input. Les

It's my understanding that these are a fantasy door push as White Rose never used them. I also agree the bends are too sharp to be correct for the 1940's. Here's hoping it's an original as it would be fantastic to know they exist.

Sorry its a fantasy door push, I have seen them in other oil company colors/logos including Red Indian and Supertest.

Found this on epay, it was small and tried to enlarge it but it is pretty bad. It also does not have grommets.

It might be white rose flour or corn meal.

I don't know for sure one way or the other as the subject one looks a lot more legit than the other obvious trash. Its a shame there is so much bull ***** out there. Would make sense for flour -country store. Some other branded originals would have "Come Again" on the back side.

I agree with Jim. It is getting harder to tell. Even if you had the item in your hands you could not be absolutely sure unless you could compare it with an original that you had absolute proof of its authenticity. I have seen many experts fooled over the years. You may have to "go with your gut". Dave

The way you know on this one without even seeing it guys , is #1 I know someone was making these 10-15 years ago . # 2 show me a picture of a White Rose station with a white rose door push on it . I find my old station pictures to be a great help when trying to find out if things are legit even before you look at them . I have an extensive Red Indian picture library , it sure helps . Old gas is the best place for anyone to ask these questions . great job by everyone for taking the time to comment , a great community people here .

Thanks to everyone for you input, great help as usual. I'm on the fence with this one. I think the best comment is "gas stations didn't have door pushes". My gut tells me to pass. It's a nice piece and probably is for the flour company.
Thanks again guys, appreciate all of your help. Les

Just so people know. In Canada, Supertest did use 2 different door palm pushes that I know of ( white porcelain and aluminum) and also B/A used a door push that was made from aluminum. I believe these to be the only 2 companies that used them.

Thanks for the pic, that is real good information. Les
