My understanding of Dougs post is of all these piece of ***** signs showing up,mostly on facebook, that have ridiculous high prices and even more responses of "great sign great price" yet they go unsold but keep getting reposted. It has gotten a bit out of hand. I could be wrong but that is how I interpreted the original post. $950.00 for a Roller Nozzle is a little bit out of hand Rick ? I guess it's not bad if the pump's priced at $30,000.00 ; )

It's all just stuff. It owns us, we don't own it.It will be here after we are gone. Get sick and be told that you are going to die and see how your priorities change. lol Dave Dave I took that road 7 years ago. No Texaco/My Collection never owned me, "I owned it". And every single piece of my collection was sold very fairly. Not with Greed. Steve C. Like I said this stuff makes me sick to my stomach, you don't have to go far at all on here in the for sale section.

The library has books. I'm pretty sure you can get an Econ-101 book and learn all about supply and demand, and how it affects prices.

Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Doug... I understand completely agree with you. I would rather give something away to someone that appreciates it than to sell it to someone who is just interested in reselling and making a buck. The greatest pleasure that I ever had from stuff was meeting the original owners and hearing their stories. Dave PS Glad you are still here.Me also. lol

That being said I appreciate a lot of things....Just putting it out there. But then this would bring up the previous thread of "shipping to the lower 48 only" LOL.

Thanks for the PM's and emails you guys, although I wish they were posted here, I fully understand why they were sent just to me.
Thanks for kidding around on here also, and Larry B. if I remember correctly you needed that nozzle off an 850 forever. If I ever come across one, you'd be first on the list.
I really miss the old days on here, we had way too much fun.

since everyone likes to reference 'Economics' just by stating 'supply/demand'... what Doug is referring to, and what his frustration is... has already been explained in Economics. It's called the 'Greater Fool Theory'. Read all about it here: (i think it pretty much sums up & summarizes what some are complaining about) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greater_fool_theory

In reality, all of this stuff is just junk to a normal person.. If there was to ever be a huge economic collapse I doubt that a person would trade a loaf of bread for a gas pump. LOL
