I appreciate the response Dr. Dave, but I am looking for something a little more aesthetic and period. Styled like the one shown on the FRY 117 parts diagram currently offered for sale on Ebay. Dr. Dave

Dave, here is a photo of the original handle next to a somewhat worn original handle and also the measurements. Joe

Maybe someone would take the initiative and start making these? I would be in for three!

Throw out a price you would pay for turned handled with no finish applied and I will figure out if it can be done so everyone is happy.
Also a correction on my post with photos. It should have read "Here is a photo of the 2015 repro handle installed on the metal handle and a worn original handle on the top." Joe

The current repros go for $9. I will consult with my woodworking friend and see what we can come up with.

I can get these for under 10 and modify them, but the section next to the handle is not as thick(wide) as yours. They are good looking, but not like the original. I appreciate your time and help. We will get there. Dave

Cr*p,,,, DB made me wooden rollers for my islander cause the self proclaimed deadman blackballed me. Gary 'rabbitman' was making lubester handles. Ya' might contact him. Be a breeze with even a cheap wood lathe.

I hadn't been following this thread since the early post referencing Vic's handle. I will see if my guy can make this handle from the diagram and picture. He likes to have an original to work from, especially if it needs to be really close to the original so if anyone has one they could loan me for a pattern it might help. I need to run another batch of lubester handles soon so I'm sure we could run some of these then if we get the design down. I'm sure the price would be the same as the others, $12 each......GB
