A few items for me and a few stories behind them:
1922 Tydol Trails: One of the first, if not the first road map produced for Tide Water Oil Company (and a complete map that I have been looking for, for close to a decade. as the map cover is separate from the map itself)
An Atlantic Oil Paper Gun from the "Land of OZ" (notice how "Color" is spelled):
And lastly. A story that proves one should "check" before tossing an old item from the past... Looking through the November 1957 issue of "The Flying A News"; I came across this "blurb" notifying Dealers that if they purchased a certain amount of Flying A Chemicals... The Dealers would receive 4 "TV Trays".. (which was a big deal, back in the Day!)
I remembered as a child/kid/brat/pain in the keester/(fill in your own thoughts of me); that we had a set of these TV trays that a friend, who owned a Flying A Station, had passed along to my Dad. When visiting my Mom, I asked if She remembered these trays? She said that She thought one or two may have survived the years and were someplace in the garage...
Very long story short(er); the trays are a long ways from NOS, but the legs are still sturdy and the trays aren't too bad:
