Had a great time with some even better buys.
I have to giggle as I got there TOO early.
They just finished a major highway connection here, and what usually takes me 90 minutes one way,now only takes me 1 hour.
I paid for my ticket and expected to walk right in,because I assumed it was after 8AM.
Waiting in line isn't so bad, knowing you'll have first crack at one of Jim's wifes warm chocolate chip cookies.

The swap meet has a vendor setup and early bird admission on Saturday at Noon. The actual swap meet is at 8 am on Sunday. There is less expensive early admission at 6:30 am on Sunday. Pictures I took were before the show opened.

You need to get there right when the show opens at 8 am. The $20 Sunday 6:30 early admission is not a bad deal in my opinion to get a head start on the crowd. The later you get there, the more stuff gets sold before you get there. Same as any petro swap meet.

We got there at 7:50 and the outside vendor area was almost empty. may four people selling. we never saw anything about ealry entry on saturday or sunday or we would have been there. we were sitting in rosemont with nothing to do. So for $20 each we could have come on saturday at noon?

I believe it is $50 to get in Saturday at noon. It is mostly the dealers/ venders seting up and of course buying from each other.

$20 on Sunday early then it drops to $3-5 at 0800.

Aldo,
Its 50 bucks to get in on Saturday. 20 bucks to get in early Sunday. $5 after 8:00 AM Sunday.
We didn't get there until about 9:30 Sunday and there were outdoor vendors set up the length of the parking lot. There were only a few spaces inside that had been vacated.
All the flyers that I've seen spell out the show hours and admission costs.
We missed out on alot of the stuff pictured because we got there so late. Thats our fault, not the promoter or vendor's fault.

Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros.

Also remember you never know what the weather is going to be.It affects dealers showing up,and alot of the stuff that was outside was owned by dealers setup inside on Sunday. You have alot of dealers-collectors that pay the fee to set up,shop the show and sell what they can Saturday and take off.So I would recomend getting there early Sunday morning.I don't know the reasons why,but dealers were down this time,if the weather is going to be nice there is always alot outside.
