My family owns a fuel wholesale business in Alabama. We have some old pumps here and there. One of the guys who works for us told me about this old pump we had in a warehouse. Some people were telling me that it is a nice collector. Well after looking at it and doing some research it turns out to be a 36 ADC. Thinking about trying to find someone to restore it. I know that parts are rare. Anyway just thought I would show you guys b/c I read a lot about the pump on here when I found out what I had. Oh and this is my 1st post on here.

Great pump. Lots of fabrication to make the parts. If you want to do the pump justice. Gist it in the hands of a top notch pump restoration guy. It's worth the investment.

Thanks for sharing!! Great pump. Definitely going to need someone with some real restoration skills but that's one that's worth saving. And there's certainly enough there to do it.

Welcome to Oldgas! It's so cool to see the pump sitting there. You should frame that picture, there is something special about that scene.
I see that Bill comes recommended, he's your man, does incredible work!

So is this rarer than the Wayne 50? My gut is saying yes!

Thanks for those pictures Jack. That put a whole new perspective on it.

In comparison the ADC makes the Wayne 50's seem common....really!

No, the Wayne 50 display pump. Which looks somewhat similar to this.

Well I had my friend TheGriffin come by this morning. He is a little more into this stuff than me so far. He looked at the pump with me and we found some parts that were with it and took some more pics. A little history on the pump. It was stored in a small warehouse we had in Monroeville, Al. We then moved it up here where our home office is. It was moved from one spot to another. About 10 years ago we had a equipment company offer us a new MPD for a trade. My father turned it down. He really didn't know what he had but still wanted to keep it. We put it in it's current storage spot years ago and left it. We put other things in there with it to store but never thought anything about the pump. Last Monday night I was talking to one of our old longtime employees about the pump. The very next night TheGriffin and I were talking about pumps and he mentioned this kind of pump and I told him I had one. I [/size]really didn't know what I had and I don't know if he believed me. He texted me yesterday about coming by to look at it. That is when I looked into what I actually had. So here we are now. Here are some pics.

Okay and here is the last one. TheGriffin asking if he could have his picture with my pump. I think I might move it again.

This was great that you took the time to take those pictures and give us an inside perspective on the pump and a little of its history!
It could actually be used as is, but the fact that it needs some metal panels, kind of takes that possibility away. It would be hard to make it look just right with some new panels and trying to match up the old faded paint?
If you do get it restored, we would love to see the progress as it goes along! Thanks for sharing!--KEVIN

I am hoping I can find the old panels in some of the old locations that it has been in. If not it has still been fun finding it and finding out about it.

Try to find the computer as well...if the faceplates are there, you'd think the computer would be around but who knows. Good looking Tokheim 620 visible sitting next to it...let's see your other goodies!!

It is like OG Christmas around here. Maybe its the 12 days of Christmas. Like finding ADCs somewhere out in the back. Or Coltex pulling out some more "never been seen" globe lens. How about a "brand new" Tok 39. Amazing week of finds. Great stories too.

Dang, those pics don't have my good side! Of course I still haven't found what side that is yet....

Anyway, thanks Bamma for letting me be a part of this amazing discovery. When we talked several weeks ago about the possibility of having a "display" pump, never in a million years did I imagine this. Its crazy to think its been sitting there under our noses all this time.

I always joke I have a sixth sense on being able to hone in on this stuff but that one fooled me. I've been told a few other times by clients that "I think we have one of those old display pumps". Now I'm going to have to go chase them down.
