Thanks to everyone on this forum, I have made good progress on getting my Wayne 70 back together. I tackled getting the computer back in sync as the last owner assembled it with most of the parts in place, but it was really screwed up. I have it now all synced up, but discovered a problem. On one of the price wheels, the spring bryllium strip is missing that goes on the side of the wheel. You can't see these buggers unless you take the wheels out. Does anyone know where I can buy one, used or new?? I can't find one. Thanks again for all of the advice.

I know what your talking about. I never knew the purpose because I know for a fact the computer works just fine workout them. Maybe Joe Yocum can answer this one, I would like to know.

This should be the part you need.

The best way to seek information for rebuilding anything is to ask if anyone has an original sales/parts/service manual for the item you are rebuilding.

Let me know what model V/R you have and I will tell you what page to go to on my website: http://petrolianacollectibles.com/veeder-root.htm

The picture posted by Tom has two parts. The thin bent metal U shaped spring that looks like Beryllium copper is what I'm looking for.

I would certainly provide the Veeder Root computer model information if I could but there is no model number information on it. My restoration was started by the prior owner and he may have removed the tag. There is a serial number on it 474935, but I don't know if that will help or not. Anyway, you can see what I'm looking for in the picture.

Thanks

Joe,

You can PM me your address and I will send you the spring. It's on the house.

Tom.

Yes Indeed well done. In fact, this is really the only thing I wanted for Christmas. Just wanted to get my restoration done and this is the one thing I can't seem to find. Many thanks to Tom and all who support this hobby. PM sent to Tom

Tom,

Sorry. I sent the PM and then cleared out my PM inbox. I must have mistakenly also cleared out the outgoing PM before it got to you. I resent it along with an email. Thanks again.

Just wanted to again say thanks to Tom for sending me the part I was looking for. In fact, he sent me an extra one along with the lever arms. I now have what I need to complete the computer... and with the recommendations on how to motorize it, I will soon have a "motorvated" pump.
