thanks, I picked it up and after review found the cylinder cracked, lower door is missing.
I believe this is an all cast iron pump made between 1913-1920 with the external pump. its a five gallon dry hose.

here is a big question, I need to find someone that can tell me about the pump more in detail, were there graphics on the pump? how the external pump was plumbed, ie did it have connections or one solid pipe? the valve was it cast or brass? can I get an original lower cast iron cover? on the inside fill pipe I have (2) rectangular things mounted to the top of the fill pipe that say "to car" and "to storage", they have a brass hook on the bottom of them for what reason I have no clue.
what do the correct pump handle look like?
Paint codes?
I do have pics and can send them, but prefer a call so I can be in contact later. 605-281-0633, Guy Boschee

Three days ago there was a post here on OG where some of the questions you asked were explained.

I also offer literature for the pump at: http://petrolianacollectibles.com/guarantee%20pumps.htm

Sounds like you have an early model 17. You need to take detailed photos from different angles so that you know exactly what you have and what you need. Dave

Two car to storage are floats. When the hook presses against the bottom it reads to storage. when raised it will read to car. The hook makes a lot scratch their head and wonder. Gate valve was brass. Paint code is resale red. Reproduction cast doors are made from orginals. Ron Scobie has them. Pipe from top of external pump to elbow at top where it turns 90 degrees is one piece.
